We need to just get out of South Korea, with all our American troops and all our equipment too. How stupid is stupid? America doesn't have to pay for everyone else's military assistance, consumer goods help (aka no American jobs) etc..................
China has tons of trade with South Korea, and they would not allow South Korea to expand influence. China would fill the power vacuum, not NK.

Unapologetic White Male ..China is opposed to this THAAD defense system being there also. Claim it's a act of aggression. But it's ok that China built islands of their shore and made aircraft run ways and built military structures and radar systems.
I use to be station there in the ROK. Pulling our forces out would send the ROK into a panic mode. Considering, the fact the Korean economy sucks millions of dollars from our Soldiers wallets annually, 1.2 billion sounds like a bargain to me.
THAAD is useless for the South Koreans. It can not defend South Korea at all and the South Koreans know that. It´s only good for the Americans in regards of China and Russia (the real targets for that US system). It´s just another US provocation and nothing else.
Hey Sergio The THAAD system was deployed in South Korea BEFORE Trump was even elected. All he wants is money now for the service. He said this in the campaign, that he would not foot the bill for all these countries anymore because NATO gives frig all. Smarten up
